 Deep within Grand Canyon, large sand deposits called point bars accumulate on the inside of curves along the Colorado River's channel. A small rapid is visible at the mouth of Tanner Wash, where floods down this side canyon have repeatedly disgorged boulders into the muddy Colorado. |
